Trip Info

On the Old Port Tour, we will first take a wonderful walking tour of the old town center of Aix-en-Provence. We will discover the beautiful area and take in some local sites like the Rotonde Fountain, la Place d’Albertas, la Place Richelme with it’s daily produce market, the town hall, Saint Sauveur Cathedral, the Fontaine des Quatres and much, much more! You will have the chance to sample some local delicacies such as “calissons” and taste some wine at La Maison Perrin.

After a marvelous morning spent in Aix-en-Provence, we will transfer by coach or van from Aix to La Ciotat. We will drive along the sea front with views of the magnificent bay until we arrive at the old port. Marvel at the shipyard at the Monaco Marina where renovations of some of the world’s most luxurious yachts take place. We will head away from La Ciotat via the famous Route des Cretes, a mountain road that hugs the coast line giving you spectacular scenery on the way to Cassis.

Cassis is a seaside town well known for it’s stunning calanques and steep cliffs. At it’s top nestles Cassis Castle overlooking the bay and old port. Here we will taste more wine, have a delicious Mediterranean lunch and stroll around the streets adjoining the old port. Spend some time shopping or make the most of the town center beach before we head back to Aix-en-Provence.
