Trip Info

This seven-day adventure will allow you to have a cultural immersion as you spend time with nomadic families and learn about their daily lives. Mongolians ride horses, standing nearly upright, utilizing a willow or bamboo pole (called an uurga) to lasso stray animals.

Upon your arrival, we start the city tour from Sukhbaatar Square, Zaisian Hill, Gandan Monastery and the National History Museum. In the evening, see a Mongolian folk dance and music performance and along with a welcome dinner. Stay overnight in the hotel.

In the morning, we drive to Terelj National Park located on the edge of the Khan Khentii Mountain range. We will visit a nomadic family and experience nomadic traditions. Participate in the everyday life of nomads such as cooking Mongolian dishes and diary product making. Enjoy an overnight stay in the eco camp, Guru, which is a green and community project to support orphan children.

After breakfast, we will drive to the Bayangobi, a unique place with many different forms of natural landscapes. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the camp to explore the combination of Gobi sand dunes, forests and Rocky Mountains. We will stay overnight in the camp.

The next day will see us spending the day with a family to learn how to milk a cow and ride a horse, or camel, and experience more about nomadic life.

After breakfast, we will drive to Kharkhorin to see the almost 800-year-old worshipping Turtle Rock near the temple. In the afternoon, we will visit a local market and spend overnight in the ger camp.

Today, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. There will be plenty of leisure time for shopping for souvenirs and cashmere gifts. Before dinner, enjoy a cultural performance and a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

The next day, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight
