Trip Info

Spend one day visiting famous suburbs of San Francisco, because there are a lot of interesting places there! During this sightseeing tour you will visit the most picturesque place of the region – amazing Muir Woods, full of beautiful redwoods, and Napa Valley, where the genuine Californian wines of the highest quality are produced.

Tour program:

Passing the famous “Golden Gates” bridge and having made a stop on one of the observation decks to take a photo, you will reach the place of incredible beauty, redwoods park – a national monument of nature of Muir Woods.

During the “Gold Rush”, when San Francisco started to grow and develop, it became clearly understandable that redwood is a good raw material for building. Then, the park was influenced by the local businessman William Kent who bought the forest land segment and donated these 295 acres to the federal government. Three years later, in 1908, President Theodore Roosevelt claimed this area as a national monument of nature. By the request of Kent, it was named after John Muir, famous protector of the environment.

After Muir Woods tour go to the Napa Valley. In Indian “Napa” means “Land of Plenty”. This region with a unique climate is the single place in the US which produces branded dry wines and where the most famous vineyards of California are situated. The most popular sorts of grapes in Napa are Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, also Merlot and Pinot Noir are widely grown. In general, Napa Valley produces about 70 percent of all wines on the continent! You will be able to visit 3-5 wineries with tasting of wines, cheeses and pates.
