Guide

Trip Info

This mini trek is a good introduction for those who have not trekked before. It offers interesting temples, great views of the Kathmandu Valley, panoramic views of the mountains and even a glimpse of Everest.

Nagarkot (2170m), a quiet and scenic hilltop about 32 km from Kathmandu, is a very popular mountain and sunrise viewing point. You can see a panoramic view of the Himalayas from Nagarkot. Seeing the sunrise and sunset on the Himalayas seen from this hill will be a life time memory.

This 4 day trekking tour starts in the Newari town of Sankhu. We will pass along the uphill trail, through scattered villages and farmlands, reaching Nagarkot early in the afternoon. On the second day, after watching the sunrise in Nagrkot, we will hike to Dhulikhel. On the way, we will walk along the trail though the jungle, villages and farms. Dhulikhel is also the beautiful place of the Newari culture and the bravo nature of the Himalayas.

For those who would like to explore the region in more depth, a visit to this area can be easily extended by a few days.
