From the Ferrovia (Venice Santa Lucia Train Station) we will reach, with a private water boat, the island of Murano. You will have the chance to see the local ‘Maestro del Vetro’ (glass master) producing his work followed by some breathtaking pieces of art displayed inside the showroom of the glass factory… During working days, in the furnace we might meet in person Pino Signoretto, considered to be the Modern “Picasso” of the Art of Glass-blowing (Pino is also a friend of the famous American glass sculptor and entrepreneur Dale Chihuly and they have worked together before…).
I’m a Tour Leader and not a Licensed Guide and will not be able to guide you inside Churches, Galleries and museums.
Your adventure awaits!
I've been working as a Tour Escort in Italy and Europe since 1992. I started working in Venice in 1994 and I love it. . . there's not a job in the world better than mine! I will take you through the intriguing maze of narrow 'Calli' and Canals found in some breathtaking parts of my town, away from the crowded streets and tourists, to discover the unknown secrets of Venice. . . where time has stopped it seems for centuries. Sometimes I feel I talk too much but there's so many things to see, to discover and to say about Venice! I'll tell you stories and anecdotes of the city that have been passed from my ancestors. On the panoramic tours I'm always saying that when I'm starting to talk I cannot stop! But I love my job and I really want my clients, after spending a few hours with me, to take home something special. You will fall in love with Venice, that's a guarantee!
