Trip Info

Mountain Pine Ridge is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in Belize. On this hiking excursion, we will climb giant waterfalls, hike over granite rock formations, jump off cliffs large and small and swim in remote, clear pools of exquisite water.

We will visit Rio Pools, a 1/4 mile long granite rock formation over which flows clear mountain water. There are numerous waterfalls to explore, natural slides and beautiful swimming holes. Sunbathe like a Belizean Iguana, climb rock formations, swim or all of the above!

Moving onto Big Rock Falls, discover the 100-foot tall waterfall that flows into a series of clear, cascading pools. Climb over the falls and jump from heights of 10 to 50-feet. For the less adventurous, the swimming is excellent and there are plenty of places for hiking and sunbathing. Be sure to take a ton of pictures of this beautiful area!

Next we’ll explore Rio Frio Cave, featuring two 65-foot arched entryways that provide enough natural light to see without a flashlight. A stream flows through the cave and forms picturesque pools ideal for swimming. There is even a sandy beach inside the cave!

Spend the day hiking, swimming, sunbathing and enjoying Belize at it’s best with me. Feel safe and secure as we travel from each location as I know the safest routes and have guided numerous guests to Mountain Pine Ridge.
