In order to have a safe and productive trip, it is best to climb the mountain on the south side before the monsoon season. This is the path the first people to reach the summit ascended in 1953.
The first four days of the trip will consist of sightseeing and preparation meetings in Kathmandu before the trek. Two days of trekking will have you arrive in Namche Bazaar where acclimatization will take place for one day. Six more days of hiking will take you to the base camp of Everest.
