Trip Info

Explore the Moroccan regions on this six-day tour through the desert that will take you through the Atlas Mountains, the Valley of Roses, Dades Valley and the Draa Valley as well.

You will begin your tour at Marrakech with meeting your guide at your hotel. We will travel to Ouarzazate by crossing the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka to get to Ait Ben Haddou. Enjoy a lunch and a one-hour walking tour to discover the beauty and old Berber architecture of Ksar Ait Ben Hadou. The ksar, a group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat. We continue on the road to African Hollywood Ouarzazate where we will spend a night in the hotel. Ouarzazate is also a noted filmmaking location, as is much of the surrounding area, with Morocco’s biggest studios inviting many international film companies. Ouarzazate is an attractive, peaceful, palm oasis town with towering palms, wide streets, many hotels and well placed municipal gardens, beautiful red-earth riad, pavement cafes and the Kasbah Taourirt.

In the morning, we will head to Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of the 1000 Kasbahs. We will cross Skoura, visiting the Oasis of Skoura and an old Kasbah called Kasbah Amerhidil. Continuing on to the Valley of Roses, which sits at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, we will have lunch. Then, we will take our direction to Dades Valley to spend an unforgettable night at a natural hotel near fields and the river.

After a good sleep, you will have a tasty breakfast before visiting Dades Gorge. Then, we continue to Merzouga by crossing Boumalne Dades and visiting the Todgha and Todra gorges. Todra is recognized around the world as one of the most spectacular canyons. We will have lunch on the road and visit the old system of irrigation before continuing to Merzouga for a night in the hotel.

In the morning, we will have breakfast and then travel to Saint Lake after visiting an old Berber village. You will be treated to a special lunch before returning to the hotel for some relaxation time. You will venture on a camel ride to the desert camp between sand dunes. We will spend the night under the stars in a Berber tent.

The next day, we will get to Zagora by the Draa Valley on another road with beautiful landscapes. This route allows you to discover beautiful Ksours Sleek. We will have lunch on the road before arriving at Zagora where we will spend the night.

After a brief morning tour, we will return to Marrakech by Agdz and the Atlas Mountains.
