Trip Info

Experience the magic and feel the spirit of rural Bali. Bali Culture Tours offer a blend of cultural, ecological and educational adventure.

Join us to discover the natural beauty of rural rice field farms on our downhill cycling tour through small villages to the stunning heartland of Bali. We begin our tour by driving up to the most spectacular views of mount Batur at Kintamani (still an active volcano) nestled high on a volcanic crater rim where we breakfast looking at the smouldering volcano of mount Batur and enjoying the most beautiful views of the crater lake.

After breakfast we’re off on our mountain bikes traveling downhill on secret back country roads, ricefield, small villages and all the things you wouldn’t normally see. This tour is designed to take our guests away from the tourist area and show them the real Bali as our guests want to see.

Also we like to offer an experience to our guests to come to visit a traditional Balinese compound to see what the Balinese home looks like, and their daily life. Throng of adorable Balinese children will be there calling out “hello” and wanting high fives as we cycle through the villages.

We ride through a Balinese plantation where we’ll get you to sample an exotic tropical fruits, herbs or medicine plants on our way through lush forested areas, lush rice paddy panorama, small villages, old temples and the Balinese culture.

We show you a Bali other visitors never see and we may happen to come across traditional ceremonies or cultural events in the process. Also we go for a short walk in the rice field to see the villages planting and harvesting their rice, and the traditional artist or craftsman at work en route. We will guide you and explain you all this amazing culture and the relationship the Balinese have with their beautiful island all through our trip.

Unlike other Tour companies, we accommodate the children under 5 years with a Bike with baby seats, child car seats and a variety of size of bike and we proudly offer western standard lunches for children under 5 years.

At the end of the trip we invite you to our home for lunch and experiencing typical Balinese daily life and enjoying the beautiful country side.

This tour is an all day tour, our groups are kept at a size of 6, Unless requests for larger group, in addition to your guide our car also follows us down the mountain in case anyone is not feeling well.

This tour is 100% owned and run by small Balinese family.

As we like to describe it as not just a Cycling tour, but culture adventure, Ecological, educational and culinary experience!
