Trip Info

Come discover one of the oldest countries in the world, India! On this walking tour, you will discover the ancient mysteries of the land. We will visit several monuments and landmarks that tell the 10,000 year story of our past. To truly appreciate the heritage and history, we shall visit an Indian village within the city that uncovers the deep roots of the culture.

The tour will begin at your hotel, which may have a wonderful history to tell. In accordance to your interests, we will explore everything the city has to offer. A visit to the Taj Mahal is a must as this “Crown of Palaces,” is constructed of white marble. Over a 20 year span, it took 20,000 artisans to complete the project at today’s cost of $827 million US dollars. A Mughal Emperor had it commissioned to be the tomb of his favorite of three wives.

The walled city of Agra Fort is a more popular tourist destination than the Taj Mahal. The 70 foot high walls encompass 30 buildings which consist of palaces, museums, monuments, mosques and audience halls. A 10 foot deep moat surrounds the outer walls.

Built of red sandstone walls, the Fatehpur Sikri illustrates the architecture designs of Indian, Persian and Islamic talent within the important buildings inside. A city within a city, it houses monuments, mosques, palaces and the city’s government buildings.

Dozens of monuments are scattered throughout Agra, in honor of those who achieved greatness in the creation of India.
