Trip Info

This trekking tour is more than a physical challenge as it highlights the rich cultural heritage and biological diversity of the region. You will travel on one of the best trails in Nepal and enjoy home stays with local families along the way. This circuit is located east of the Annapurna mountain range and is the world’s eighth highest peak. It was opened to foreigners in 1992.

We will ascend through Budi Gandaki River, offering numerous rivers and waterfalls, to Larkya La Pass, the highest point in the trek. Here, enjoy spectacular views of Himalchuli, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and other various mountains. Along the way, you will be amazed at the diverse landscape and variety in flora and fauna.

AS you will see, an intense part of the trekking circuit starts from Samagaon, where you may see the freezing green lake of Birendra. It will also be a challenge as we cross the snow-clad Larkya La Pass, which is close to the Tibet border. Views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kang, Kang Guru and Annapurna II will be seen.

From Larkya La Pass, we descend along a snow-covered trail down to Tengboche. This leads us to the Dudh Khola, or White River, banks passing through magnificent forests of rhododendron, pine and juniper. The alpine vegetation then changes to subtropical greenness.

We end the trekking as we walk through the Marshyangdi River to Besishahar.
