Trip Info

We’ll start the journey by getting on the historic tram and heading to the oldest quarter of Lisbon.  We’ll stop at the Portas do Sol belvedere and walk through the old Alfama district.  Then we go through the lower town, also known as chessboard of the Marquis of Pombal. This  neighbourhood was rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake and now displays the “Triumphal Arch”. We’ll see a beautiful view of the Tagus River. Next, We’ll head back to Rossio square and walk to Restauradores at the beginning of the Avenida da Liberdade. There, we’ll admire the “collection”  - perfect examples of buildings in the Art Nouveau, Art Deco, etc. This includes The Old Hotel Avenida Palace and Hotel Eden Palace.  Join us as we explore the beautiful Lisbon.
