Trip Info

Discover the magnificent beauty and unique culture of the people of Langtang Valley on this 10-day trekking tour. Although it is only a drive of a few hours from Kathmandu, this region boasts a region as wild as any Tibetan highlands. It truly is the best and most popular trekking region of the Himalayas influenced by Tibetan lifestyle. See a variety of rhododendron and bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls and snow-capped mountains.

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your driver and transported to your hotel. Meet your guide for a brief overview of the trip before enjoying a welcome dinner and Nepalese cultural program.

After breakfast, we will tour several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu such as World Heritage Sites, temples and shrines. After lunch, you will meet with your trekking team to finalize official arrangements and be briefed on the nature of the trek, equipments and team composition.

In the morning, enjoy a drive to Syaphrubeshi with views of the Himalayas, terraced fields and rustic villages. We stop at Trishuli Bazaar for lunch before continuing to Dhunche and finally to Syaphrubeshi.

On the first trekking day, we follow the Langtang Khola River, pass through dense forests and cross suspension bridges. We also pass by teahouses, one of which we will stay the night.

After morning tea, we continue through dense forests, see water mills, prayer wheels, chortens and sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We climb to views of Langtang Lirung.

The next day will see us continue through yak pastures to reach the largest Mani wall in Nepal. It is made from stone with prayers written on them. The idea is for the prayers to be blown away by the wind. As we continue, we cross several wooden bridges and experience the air becoming thin as we enter high altitude. Once at Kanjin Gompa, we will casually explore glaciers and icefalls and see birds and yaks.

In the morning, we visit Tserko Ri at 16,404 feet for a superb mountain sunrise view. After breakfast, we trek downhill towards Lama Hotel. We will meet people who follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans as we pass through the ethnic Tamang settlements.

We return to Syaphrubeshi the next day. A five-hour trek takes us on an easy downhill trail through lush green vegetation.

After breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu and spend the rest of the day relaxing, shop or explore more sites. An end of tour celebration dinner will be provided.

You will be transferred to the airport the next day to catch your flight.

Your adventure awaits!
