Go cruising and/or fishing and enjoy the scenic beauty on Lake Tarawera. Ideal for that special occasion, team building or family or friends fun. Experience its natural hot water springs on the lake edge in Te Rata Bay, sample some of its amazing bush walks, the Tarawera Trail with the twin streams that bubble fresh cold water to refresh you or the walk to the spectacular Tarawera falls on the Tarawera river.

Tarawera is famous for it’s rainbow trout with Fish and Game NZ using it to stock it’s hatchery in Ngongotaha, just out of Rotorua. For a minimum time out we suggest 3 hours but its up to you how you enjoy time here.
