Trip Info

Visit the town Kutná Hora, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list for its medieval character, on a car tour with us. In the 14th century it was the richest town in Bohemia – there were silver mines and mints.

During our tour you will visit: St. Barbara´s Cathedral with interesting wall paintings showing the daily life of miners and workers in the royal mint – The Italian Court – former Royal palace, the Royal Mint from the end of the 13th century – The Ossuary – small chapel with an altar and wall decoration made of human bones – In the nice center of this small town you will find medieval houses, Gothic fountain, or plague statue.

Kutná Hora is medieval town which was in the 14th and 15th century the second most important town in Bohemia after Prague. Kutná Hora was famous for its silver mines and as an occasional residential town of Czech kings.

Rich silver mines made it possible to build beautiful town houses, a new cathedral, or to enlarge the royal palace. In Kutná Hora was established the first central coin mint and the valuable Czech coins (Czech groš) have been made there until the 16th century.

Since 1994 Kutná Hora belongs to the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
