Trip Info

This is an 8 hour trip down the Kootenay River. Bring food and water, and something to keep the sun off your face. The size of the river means there aren’t always shady areas to paddle through. Safety is always the name of the game, and you will get the basics on how to safely navigate this gentle river. Expect to see some incredible views of our local mountain ranges. There is always the possibility of great wildlife viewing. The Kootenay River is a wide and gentle waterway that can be a fun introduction to paddling on moving water.
