Trip Info

Ready for an island hopping kitesurfing trip in the Grenadines ?
This is a world class destination for windsurfers, kitesurfers and sailors.

Grenadines are an archipelago of islands and islets fringed with white sand beaches, coconut trees, bathed in warm water, cooled by consistent tradewinds, lively marine life and crystal-clear waters, ideal for an unforggetable kitesurfing cruise !

Day 1:
We welcome you in Sainte-Lucie (or Saint-Vincent, Martinique) to head south towards Grenadines. Get settled on the boat and first night on board.
You can also plan to arrive directly to Union Island, right in the archipelago, please let us know if you need some help to organize your arrival.

During your stay:
As soon as you are on board, our aim is KITESURF!

Grenadines have over 600 islands or islets, and few of them are inhabited.
When we are in Grenadines, sailing from an island to the other is always short and smooth sail.
There are numerous kitesurfing spots on those islands, one more stunning than the other ! Offering an amazing playground for wind/sea lovers.

Of course, the choice of spots that are offered depends on the weather, your level and your wishes :
Downwind, flat, waves or freestyle, everything is there!

For non-kiters, a cruise to Grenadines is yet a life-time experience, a sailing goal for sailor all over the Atlantic. Quite lagoons, white sand beachs, marine life, Caribbean life-style, … It is really worth it.

Last day:
Sail back to Saint-Lucia and departure!

There is a lot of kitesurfing spots in this area, here are some of our favorite :

Mayreau – Salt Whistle Bay
Choopy / Waves – Sideon / Onshore
North of Mayreau, we anchor under the lee of the island, facing a white sand beach lined with coconut trees.
The spot is located just across from the beach, in a lagoon enclosed by a coral reef with a beautiful long beach.
The lagoon is rather choppy, ideal for jumps. There are also waves to surf on the reef.

Tobago Cays – Jamesby
Choppy / Flat / Waves – Onshore
The Tobago Cays are a large marine reserve that you definitely need to visit. The lagoon is huge and is full of rays and turtles.
Kitesurfing is regulated here, and launching the kites must be done at Jamesby on the small windward beach.
The lagoon is a huge playground, translucent choppy waters, it should be flatter close to the reef.

Union Island – Clifton
Flat – Onshore
Located inside the lagoon, it offers butter-flat crystal-clear waters.
Note that this spot is located upwind of the main anchorage of Clifton, and is therefore reserved for experienced kitesurfers, going upwind without problems.
The nice beach bar from the kite school is open to all riders for a small fee. Courses are of course also available.

Union Island – Frigate Island
Flat – Offshore
A former marina project joining the main island to island Frigate was started and then abandoned a few years ago. There remains a low stretch of land closing the bay, and to the delight of kiters creating a super flat water with a clean wind.
We anchor in the same spot. The dinghy is used for safety.
The spot is suitable for all, beginners and experienced.

Union Island – Big Sand
Choppy / Waves – Sideshore
An easy walk from the anchorage of Clifton, provides access to this lovely beach oriented east-west.
If there is no wind, this is a nice spot to learn to surf.

Morpion – Petit Saint Vincent
Choppy / Flat – Offshore
Morpion is a small sandy islet a few yards of Petit Saint Vincent. A small umbrella made of palm leaves is the sole construction. Symbol of the island, it is rebuilt on a regularly basis each time the weather gets a bit rough.
This is a lovely postcard with incredible colors, for sessions that you will remember for a long time. A reef surrounds the lagoon, and offers an incredible setting for a big airs photo shooting session eg :)
