Trip Info

The Kintamani Volcano Tour is a must-do for any visitor to Bali! It is the perfect introduction to Bali’s fascinating culture and amazing scenery. We can take any party of up to 45 people and the tour price includes an air-conditioned vehicle, petrol, parking fee, mineral water and an English-speaking driver guide.

The first stop on our way to Kintamani Volcano is at the stone carving of Batubulan. See the beautiful, colourful and exciting Barong dance. Continue on to the village of Celuk, famous for it’s gold and silver works. Watch skilled artisans create exquisite pieces before your eyes. Move on to Mas, a village famous for it’s impressive woodcarvings. We will stop at one of the many workshops where we can watch the process of creating intricate designs in a block of wood.

As we travel further inland, we’ll drive by terraced rice fields and up into the mountains. The vegetation changes from small rice and vegetable plots to bamboo forests and citrus fruit trees. Along the way we will stop at a coffee plantation and see coffee being processed in the traditional way. Sample Bali coffee, ginger tea or hot chocolate.

On arrival at Kintamani, be amazed by the spectacular views of Mount Batur, with ribbons of black lava running down from its peak into the valley below. The crater is holy, and a sanctuary at the top is dedicated to the fertility goddess. We will have lunch at Kintamani.

On the way home we’ll drive through the famous rice terraces of Tegalalang on the way to Ubud. Photos here are a must! From here a short drive to Ubud takes you into the artistic heart of Bali. Here we’ll visit many art galleries and see more artists at work before traveling back to Denpasar.
