- Diverse conditions and marine life
The King Cruiser trip is a must for experienced divers visiting Phuket, this 30m deep wreck is the only feature on the barren sands so attracts tonnes of life. The top of the wreck is covered in thick schools of juvenile fish and colourful soft corals. Rainbow runners, trevally and big barracuda dash in and gorge themselves on the small fish while lionfish and scorpionfish wait patiently below for the stragglers. Nudibranchs of all different shapes and sizes hide amongst the coral and sponge encrusted steel walls and many different species of moray poke their heads out of any available real estate.
We’ve already covered the fantastic Shark Point, this fantastic rocky reef is a completely different experience from the wreck and helps make this trip a diverse diving experience.
The final dive will be at Koh Doc Mai, this steep wall drops to 25m and is stuffed with some amazing macro life. It’s the best place in Phuket to find nudibranchs, seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish and many different types of shrimp.
