Khopra Ridge Trek takes trekkers through the rural communities in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Region staying in lodges as well as optional tented camps for a couple of days. It offers a wonderful experience with a mixture of nature and culture in abundance. The views from Khopra, the highest point of the trek (3660m), offer excellent views of the Himalayas. Furthermore, encounters with friendly villagers, rich cultural heritage, culture and lifestyle of people will give trekkers experience of a lifetime.
This off-the-beaten-path trek passes through rhododendron forests with hidden Hindu temples and shrines around some small and serene lakes. Stumping views of slumping mountains are a major attraction of this trek. Once we leave Tadapani, our trail passes through remote and less trekked high alpine settlements of Bayeli and Dobato on our way to Khopra Danda. Khopra Ridge offers probably the most incredible views of the colossal ramparts of Dhaulagiri, which plunge dramatically into the misty depths of the Kaligandaki the deepest gorge in the world – surrounded by spectacular, lofty peaks of Nilgiri, Annapurna I and Annapurna South, which dominates the North. We have a full day for our exploration hike from the Kopra ridge climbing higher on ancient pilgrim trails to the sacred water of the pristine holy Kaire Lake nesting beneath the awesome face of Mt Annapurna.
