Trip Info

Day 1: Pick up at Cochin Airport – Drive to Fort Kochi
Welcome by our Representative to Cochin airfield, Pick up and drive 40km/1.5hour to fort Kochi. Upon arrival Check into hotel. After fresh n up visit by Walk to Chinese Fishing net: local fishermen work on these nets to earn livelihood, Picture perfect Beach with surrounding of sailing ships, European style houses, fish selling stalls, tender coconut/tea-coffee stalls. Walk to the princess street also give nice experience to gaze or shopping of antiques, outfits, silk scarf’s etc. Recommend Restaurants : Dal Roti, Cochin Fort House Restaurant. Overnight stay at Fort Kochi.
Day 2 : Fort Kochi sightseeing & depart to Kumarakom ( Friday dutch palace & Synagouge closed)
Post breakfast by 9am we will take you to visit St. Francis Church (On the 3rd visit to Vasco d agama – Portuguese trader fell ill and died in cochin, his body was buried in this church, later his remains were sent back to Portugal), Basilica Church, Dutch Palace (Gifted by Dutch to the king of Kochi, this palace depicts murals based on Hindu epics) , Jewish Synagogue (prayer hall of Jewish, built in 1568) Jew Town (gaze or shopping of antiques, outfits etc). Back to hotel. Check out and proceed to Kumarakom. Cover 70km/1.5hour drive and you will be taken to flock flora by tranquility on the bank of fresh water vembanad lake. Evening we will take you to visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Overnight at Kumarakom.
Here at Bird Sanctuary ; watch local birds like waterfowl, cuckoo, own, egret, heron and the water duck, as well as migratory Siberian cranes, parrots, teal, larks, flycatchers, wood beetle and much more other birds.
Day 3 : Kumarakom to Alleppey/30 minutes drive – Choice of Houseboat/or Stay at Mararikualm Beach
Post breakfast check out from hotel and drive down to Alleppey, upon arrival check into Houseboat – Enjoy the majestic backwaters, coconut lagoon, palm shore just in front of your room with all meals. In Houseboat One bedroom with attached bathroom & living space will be available. Air condition will be switched on during night only. The boat will cruise from 12pm to 5pm on check in day and next day 7.30am to 9am. Overnight at houseboat.

Day 4: Alleppey to Thekkady/145km/4hour

Post breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Thekkady. In thekkady you may enjoy activities like Night Patrolling in Periyar Tiger Reserve (3 Hour programme between 7pm to 4am) accompanied by protection watchers and forest guards, Bamboo Rafting, Elephant Ride at Elephant Junction, Spice Plantation visit, Cultural Programme :Kathakali, kalaripaitu, or enjoy Ayurveda Massage. Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 5 : Thekkady Periyar Tiger Reserve & Munnar transfers/110km/3 hours
Morning 6am wake up and drive to visit Periyar Tiger Reserve (boating is available 7:30am, 9:30am, 11:15am,1:45pm, 3:30pm) Enjoy the sanctuary visit by boating and get a chance to explore wildlife at the bank of the river. By 9;30 back to hotel, enjoy breakfast and check out and drive down to Munnar, Enjoy the magnificent view of valley, green mountains, tea estates and scenic journey. On arrival check into hotel. Visit Tea Musuem and enjoy walk in tea gardens. Overnight at Munnar.

Day 6 : Munnar Sightseeing
Post breakfast we will take you to visit Eravikulam national park (closed in Feb & March) The park offer magnificent view of the tea plantations and misty hills. From the parking area tourist need to board Govt. Coach to reach to the entrance and from there aprox 1km walk gives overwhelming experience to every visitor enjoying fresh air, watching Medicinal plants, shrubs & Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat). Later from parking area drive down to visit Forest flower garden, Mattupatty Dam and Lake, Kundala Dam and lake, Echo Point and view point, Back to hotel and enjoy walk at your own. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 : Airport departure
Post breakfast check out and depart to airport for onward journey, trip concludes.
Temperature /Climate
Cochin/Kumarakom/Alleppey : Temperature ranges between 23 and 31 °C (73 and 88 °F) round the year. This coastal area receive moderate climate. Mid Feb to March is comparatively hot and June to Mid September receive heavy rains.
Munnar & Thekkady : Both destinations are gorgeous hill station situated at a height varies from 1400 meter to 1900 meter above sea level. During day climate is 18 to 22 °C and during night it ranges from 9 to 15 °C. June to August is the Rainy season.
Clothes & Things to carry
At Cochin/Alleppey/Kumarakom light cotton clothes are required and at Munnar and Thekkady light woolen clothes are required. Carry hat/sun glass/sun screen lotion and a umbrella.
