Have an experience of a lifetime as you cycle along the Danube to the former Iron Curtain border zone with Austria. See the 1930′s military bunker, beaches of the Danube and enjoy contrasts between medieval and modern times.
This cycling tour is perfect for those who enjoy exploring off-the-beaten-track places. This 14 kilometer ride is an easy route with no hills.
Some of the interesting sites we can stop at include a former Jewish district and synagogue replaced by a controversial ufo-like SNP bridge. See transformations by the Danube river such as new Zuckermandel District, River Park and the former Park of Culture. Discover views of the last socialist housing project at Dlhe Diely.
We will also explore the 1930’s Czechoslovak fortification system, a bunker built against Hitler’s potential invasion. Cycle along the former Iron Curtain area, now the Schengen border with Austria. See the first public park in Central Europe of Sad Janka Kraia and have amazing views of the castle and other landmarks of Bratislava.
