Trip Info

The archeological site of Ingapirca is located 80 km north of Cuenca. We start our tour by visiting the “Virgin del Rocio” church in Biblian (on Wednesdays), its architecture shows a very interesting gothic style from the beginning of the 20th century. We will continue our trip observing the knitting of the Panama hat which is the main handy craft of the country and forms an important income for the native people from the southern part of Ecuador. Finally, we will visit the archeological site of Ingapirca to observe each one of the buildings such as “Cañaris” and “Incas” from there we will visit the museum located next to the ruins. Return to the city of Cuenca.

IMPORTANT: Only on Sundays we will visit the market in Cañar, known for the great amount of native people who sell their products and by its colorful scenery.

*We reserve our rights to add or suspend visits to the ruins for unforeseen issues.
