Trip Info

On this tour we’ll visit St. Sophia,  built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century. We’ll also head to the Topkapi Palace, the Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque and the Hippodrome. This was the stadium used for horse and chariot racing. We’ll also see some noteworthy monuments –  the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine.  Well also spend some time at the Underground Cistern. It is thought to have been built after the Nika revolt in 532 AD. Today it has a rather eery and mystical ambiance. And last, we’ll go to the Grand Covered Bazaar, a labyrinth of streets wtih more than 4000 shops.
