Enjoy this multi activity safari tour as you experience a taste of everything Kenya has to offer. Hike through the forests of Mount Kenya, take a picture straddling the equator, enjoy a safari as you go on a multitude of gaming drives through Kenya’s amazing national parks, and experience the local culture!
Day 1: Nairobi – Nanyuki: After an early morning breakfast, we will depart from Nairobi and travel through Thika town. On the way, enjoy the vast fields of pineapples as well as the beautiful sites of the Aberdare range. Before arriving in Nanyuki, we will cross the Equator, an imaginary line that divides the world into two, for photo taking. You will arrive at Nanyuki in good time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Sweetwaters wildlife conservancy for a game drive. Enjoy witnessing wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards and the rare chimpanzees. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Falcon Heights hotel.
Day 2: Nanyuki: After an early morning breakfast, we will depart from your hotel towards Mount Kenya climbing gate. The guided hike starts at 8 am and is roughly a 4 hour hike through the rain forest to Met Station hut, where you will have your lunch. Later, descend from the mountain and meet your driver at the gate back to the hotel. Enjoy dinner and am overnight stay at the Falcon Heights hotel.
Day 3: Nanyuki: After an early morning breakfast, we will take a packed lunch and depart to the Sweetwaters Ranch, in Mount Kenya National Park. You will enjoy viewing a variety of wildlife, such as hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes, monkeys, buffaloes and zebras. You will also view numerous species of birds. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Sportsman Arms hotel.
Day 4: Nanyuki – Nyeri: After an early morning breakfast, check out from your hotel. On the way to Nyeri, you may wish to pass through the Mount Kenya Elephants Trust, or the Laikipia Wildlife Forum, and give a donation towards the great work of conserving endangered animals, such as elephants and rhinos. We will then head to Solio Ranch to witness a variety of wildlife, such as buffaloes, antelopes, zebras and rhinos. Later, head towards Nyeri town and visit the Lord Baden-Powell Museum and grave site. Baden-Powell, originally from England, is the world famous founder of the Scouting Movement in 1907, and started the same movement in Kenya in 1910. He died in Kenya in 1941 and was buried in Nyeri town, near the Aberdare forests, facing Mount Kenya. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the Nyeri Green Hills hotel.
Day 5: Nyeri – Nairobi: After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive towards Nairobi. On the way, enjoy sights of coffee, pineapple and bananas plantations. Relax over lunch in Nairobi before being dropped off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
