Here’s how we’ll spend the day and what we’ll do together:
This Experience is offered in TWO versions: Standard Pack and Deluxe Pack.
1. Cretan landscape
The visitors will have a chance to get an insider’s view of the cretan landscape and way of life in Hersonissos. Under the guidance of Paraskevi, they will visit numerous picturesque villages, harbours and little-known places off the beaten track, and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
2. Exploration & Cretan Cuisine
Visitors will also take advantage of plenty of photoshoot opportunities along the way, explore olive groves (including a visit to the most ancient Greek olive tree) and local mountains, and stop-over for lunch and coffee at idyllic mountainous villages where they will also get to appreciate traditional Cretan cooking.
1. OPTION 1: Heraklion walk-about
Guests will visit nearby Heraklion, Crete’s capital city. They will have a chance to enjoy a thorough walk-around the town center, do some shopping at a local flea market, and enjoy a traditional meal at a nice restaurant in order to get acquainted with the delicacies of cretan cuisine.
2. OPTION 2: Visit to Monastery
Guests will embark on a spiritual journey as they make their way to a local Christian Orthodox women’s Monastery up in the mountain. They will have a chance to “light a candle”, as is customary in monasteries, explore the whole facility, meet the nuns, and appreciate the tremendous view of the surrounding landscape. There will be ample opportunity for coffee and snacks (mezedes) at stopovers to small villages along the way.
