Guide

Trip Info

Leave the city center at around 08:00 am to set out on a 2-hour drive to visit the Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where hundred-year-old houses have been preserved.
After arriving in Duong Lam, you will walk along the small and windy roads to visit the Mong Phu Hamlet – the only hamlet in the village whose original gate is still intact. This hamlet is dedicated to national heroes. Leaving the hamlet behind, you will continue walking through the village and drop in the local ancient house – dated back over 400 years. Here you’ll have the chance to talk with the host family to understand more about the long history of the village and their current life.

Have lunch in the village.

In the afternoon, get in the car and drive back to Tien Le village, which is on the way back Hanoi. Visit one local family to enjoy a drink, and listen to the elders share their knowledge and memories before beginning the farming activities. Plowing the soil, fertilizing, growing and watering vegetables, this activity will give you a true experience about local life. Come back to your host family for a cooking session and enjoy dinner with local family. Later at night, we bid farewell to the peaceful village to return to your hotel in the city center.
