Trip Info

Aosta, the regional capital, is the only town of any size with its attractive cobbled streets and good shopping, it makes an excellent stop on the way to mountain resorts. In the countryside, the tributary valleys are more scenic. The eastern valleys have ski resorts and narrow, winding roads.

The city Aosta was founded by the Romans and is known as the Rome of the North due to the great number of Roman as well as Medieval remains to be found in the city centre.

This is a private walking tour accompanied by your guide around the city streets of the old town, which allow you to admire the many Roman and Medieval monuments.
