Trip Info

The Great Glen Canoe or Kayak Tour is a camp based tour, with both facilities and wild camping (depending on the day). This 6 day coast to coast trip starts at Fort William on the highlands west coast and finishes on the east at Inverness. The Great Glen Canoe Trail links Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness as well as paddling along the Caledonian Canal and descending the rivers Oich and Ness. This is some of the most stunning highland scenery along the remote east coast. This trail is an intermediate level paddle, and is suggested for the ages 14+. The kayaks and canoes are comfortable, easy to get in and out of and have room for lots of gear.
