Trip Info

This is an art and history tour of the most characteristic city of the Ionian coast. Savoca is a village perched on a hill and is known as the City of Art and “the seven country faces.” Marvel at the ancient medieval, Renaissance and Baroque ruins. This city is also famous because it has a crypt in which there are stored and displayed the embalmed corpses of some chiefs in the country dating back centuries. The city is also famous for being the set of many successful films such “The Godfather” by Francis Ford Coppola and “La Vita Rubata.”
