Trip Info
This walking tour offers the most comprehensive tour available to the Gallipoli Peninsula, in an intimate group setting, where we reach seldom visited spots via mule tracks, dried up gullies and quiet beaches. It incorporates the initial landings of April 25th 1915 through to the eventual evacuation in January 1916.
Discover the area while walking on W beach, with visits to the cemeteries of Lancashire Landing and V Beach. An adventurous walk takes you along the beaten Gully Ravine to Pink Farm. A steep climb to Plugges Plateau will reward you with stunning views from a seldom visited location, Lone Pine Memorial, with breath taking views over the Aegean and Johnston’s Jolly, with its preserved trenches and memorials named after courageous and colorful Australian characters.
We will visit the Turkish 57th Regiment and 19th Division to consider the battle from a Turkish perspective. Learn about the attack by the Australian Light Horse on The Nek. This walking tour will also take you along the Rhododendron Ridge walk, possibly the most spectacular of any battlefield walks. We will explore places from the heights of Chunuk Bair to the beaches below, as well as walks through the ill-fated Suvla landings of August 1915. With additional stops at Green Hill, Chocklate Hill, Hill 10 and Hill 60, you will not miss out on seeing anything!
We look forward to guiding you!
