Trip Info

This tour is a fully customized private tour of Delhi. Let’s explore Delhi, on your schedule, the way you want! You are free to choose which sites you would like to see. Should you want some local advice, your guide can help you create an itinerary.

Here is an example of an itinerary for your private tour of Delhi:

Upon picking you up from your place of accommodation, airport, or railway station, we will begin our exploration of Delhi! Our first stop on the tour is a site everyone must see – the Red Fort. Step back in time as you explore the amazing structure, a standing reminder of the once powerful Mughal empire.

The next stop on our tour is Humayun’s Tomb. Not to be confused with the Taj Mahal, due to its appearance, this tomb was built in the 16th century, and is the tomb of Mughal emperor, Humayun. Afterwards, explore the complex, set among beautiful gardens.

We will stop for lunch, allowing you to sample some of the amazing local food India has to offer. Just let the guide know what you enjoy eating and he will find something to hit the spot!

After lunch, we will explore the amazing markets of Delhi. You can look forward to being immersed in the every day life. Chat with the locals, with your guide bridging the gap between traveler and local. Make sure to buy some hard to find spices! These markets offer a fantastic opportunity to really get a feel for the pulse of the city.

Our last stop on the tour is India Gate. It is a memorial which was constructed in memory of the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I, fighting for the British Army. Make sure you take some time exploring the gardens which line the boulevard.

After a long day, you will be ready to head back to your place of accommodation. Your guide will transport you back. If you want any other tips on what to do or see during the remainder of your trip, make sure you ask your guide!
