Trip Info

Cheese, chocolate and cured meats all in one place – what more could you want? This culinary exploration will hook you up with some of the best food artisans in the Bay Area and showcase hidden gems tucked away in the Ferry Building. This historic hub also boasts a farmers’ market full of local, organic fare, along with carefully crafted preserves, pickles and pastries. Whet your appetite with award-winning cheese and indulge your sweet tooth with hand-made chocolates and French macaroons. Bon appetite!

Sample award-winning Mt. Tam cheese from Cowgirl Creamery, paired with sweet and sour loaves from Berkeley’s Acme Bread. House cured fennel salumi and freshly made mortadella in Boccalone’s “meat cones” are an instant hit.

We’ll taste handmade chocolate confections from Recchiuti and French macarons from Miette, named one of the top ten pastry shops in the world by Conde Nast Traveller. An offshoot of the high-end Slanted Door, Out the Door’s legendary spring rolls are a crowd favorite. Additional stops may include Frog Hollow Farms, Mariposa Baking Company, and American Eatery.
