Trip Info

Challenge yourself on this 14-day tour as you venture to Everest Base Camp. Your tour begins with an amazing mountain flight to Lukla the morning after your arrival to Kathmandu.

Our trekking begins with following a footpath along the Dudh Kosi River. We will be crossing forests of rhododendron and magnolia flowers as we pass villages and monasteries. During the tour, you will have the chance to stop at the Namche Bazaar. This bustling bazaar is a junction for trekkers and a spectacular place to rest and shop. There are museums, Internet cafes, pizza houses and bakeries.

From here, we continue along a high traversing path to reach Tengboche. This old Buddhist monastery is located on a ridge top at 3,867 metres in the village community of Khumjung. We will also pass Dingboche, Lobuche and Gorakhashep before visiting the base camp. Here, you will ascend to the black rocks called Kala Patthar.

After visiting the camp, we will trek back to Lukla, following the same previous route with spending a few days overnight at different places.

We got that the decision to have our trek with Himalayan Smile Treks and Adventures was the best. We did a trek of Tengboche from October 29th 2009 to November 08 2009. The main aim of this trip was to participate in Mani Rimbu festival. Mani Rimbu is a really exciting festival that celebrates in Tengboche Monastery can be reached one day walk from Namche monastery. It was beyond our expectation. We surprised the Bhuddisht rituals and different musical instruments used by the monks. We got there a kind of great spiritual environment. We thank the management of Himalayan Smile. They organize everything perfectly from the beginning to the end. They provided us good guide named Dawa Sherpa and hard working porters. They are so nice and helpful people. So it was real pleasure to spend with them those days. and other trekking materials. Overall to say the trek was an amazing experience. We are sure to have the next trek with again Himalayan Smile Treks and Adventures, Kathmandu Nepal.
