Trip Info
Everest Base Camp Trekking is an ideal way to accomplish your wish of beholding the world’s tallest peak, Mount Everest(8848m), up close making you feel like you are in paradise. Everest Base camp is at an elevation of about 5,340m but doesn’t offer the closest view of Everest, so we will climb to Kala Patthar, at an elevation of about 5,550m, for a closer view of Mount Everest.
Everest Base Camp Trekking starts from the small high mountain airport of “Lukla” which is a 35 minute scenic flight from Kathmandu airport. From Lukla our adventure begins towards the Shadow of Mt Everest. During the Trek, we happily spend some enjoyable days hiking through the typical Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries; Everest Base Camp trek is equally popular to see a culture and lifestyle of highland Sherpa people. Of course, from the starting point of the trek you will see the tantalizing view of many beautiful mountains and we follow an ancient route that will take us through tiny villages, across high mountain passes, and through remote valleys, villages, and monasteries. The views grow even more spectacular as we venture up the Dudh Koshi River to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region at 3440m. After we reach to Namche (capital land of Sherpa), we will rest for two nights to get acclimatized and see the cluster of local houses and grazing pasture land. The next day we will go to the Thyangboche monastery (3860m), where you will be rewarded with spectacular views of Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. You will pass through Pangboche, Periche, Lobuche, Gorekshep and reach Everest base camp and finally Kala patthar at the background of Mount Everest exposing refreshing spectacular views of numerous dangling mountains including Mt Everest and typical Sherpa land with typical houses and landscapes.
The main highlight point of Everest Base Camp Trekking for everyone will be the top of Kala patthar. Scenery and coursing of the snow River, avalanche and white glittering snow capped peaks including Mt Everest from the top of Kala patthar will enchant you and take you to the world of frantically making your journey a memorable one in your whole life. Mt.Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Changtse, Khumbu glacier and south-west face of Everest will be seen from the top of Kala patthar so, for these reason Everest Base Camp Trekking is taken as a best and most popular trekking in Nepal .This trek can be done all year round in any season. But mainly March to May and September to December is taken as a best season for this trekking.
We look forward to guiding you!
