Discover the amazing sights and landscapes of Kathmandu, Nepal on this fantastic trekking tour. This short trek will bring you on a 14-day adventure to the Everest Base Camp. You will test your limits and see many amazing natural sights along the way!
Day one will start with your arrival to the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. You’ll be transferred to your hotel and will receive a short briefing of your trip before ending your day.
Day two will include a short flight to Lukla and a three-hour trek to Phakding. You’ll enjoy seeing the amazing sights while flying through the mountains. Once you reach Lukla, you will trek to 8,699ft above sea level. Along the way, you will see beautiful green landscapes and views of Kusum Kangraru.
The third day of this tour will bring you to the amazing Namche Bazaar. This six-hour trek will bring you on the Dudh Koshi and through the Himalayan pine and cedar forests. Once you reach Namche Bazaar, which sits at 11,283ft, you’ll learn about local traditions, culture and history. Namche Bazaar is the central trading post in the Khumbu region. You’ll spend the rest of days three and four acclimatizing to the elevation. During the fourth day of the tour, you’ll have the chance to visit the Everest View Hotel, the Syangboche Airport and much more.
Day five will bring you on an awesome trip to Tengboche. This trek is five hours long and will bring you up to 12,660ft above sea level. Once you reach the Tengboche Monastery, you will learn about it’s vast history and meet the people who live there.
Day six will bring you on another awesome trek to Dingboche. You’ll head up to 14,464ft and will see many amazing views along the way. You’ll pass by attractions and sights such as the Imja Khola, Mount Amadablam, Mount Lhotse and the “summer valley”.
The seventh day of this tour will bring you to the beautiful Nagerjun. This will be the second acclimatization experience of your trip. You’ll trek up to 16,728ft and see many amazing sights along the way. You will see the Chhukung Valley, the Lobuche West, the Taboche Peak, Thamserku, Kangtega and Ama Dablam. After lunch, you’ll spend the rest of your day exploring or relaxing as you please.
Day eight will be a short day and will bring you down to Lobuche. This day is a great way to acclimatize to the elevation. During this day, you’ll pass by the Trekkers Aid Post and the Dughla Valley.
Day nine will bring you on a journey to the Everest Base Camp and back to Gorekshep. You’ll enjoy eight hours of trekking and will see attractions such as the Khumbu glacier, Kalapattar and much more. This day will be filled with the best views of Everest. While at the base camp, you can hike to the icefall or just relax before heading back to Gorekshep.
Day ten will be your last day of ascending the mountains. You’ll head up to 18,188ft before beginning your descent. The next four days will include trekking to Phakding and flying back to Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, you will be able to do some shopping or just head to the airport for your departure.
