Trip Info

Discover the amazing landscapes and true beauty of the Himalayas on this fantastic trekking tour in Nepal. This 17-day tour will bring you to the Mount Everest Base Camp Lodge. You’ll enjoy testing your limits and witnessing beautiful views along the way.

Day one of the tour will start with an arrival to the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You’ll be escorted to your hotel and will have the remainder of the day to explore the city.

Day three will be the beginning of your adventure. You’ll start with a guided tour of Kathmandu and it’s surrounding areas. Along the way, you will see attractions such as Durbar Square and the temples of Hanuman Dhoka, Kastamandap and the Living Goddess Kumari. Later, you will enjoy a private tour to Swoyambhunath Stupa or “the Monkey Temple”. Finish your third day off with visits to the city of Patan, the Buddhist Stupa and the district of Thamel.

On the fourth day of this trip, you will have your first taste of trekking. You will travel from Kathmandu to Lukla by plane and then to Phakding by foot. Along the way you’ll enjoy views of the giant Himalayas, meet many locals and learn about the history of the area.

Day five will consist of a trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, which sits at 3440m above sea level. This five-hour trek will bring you into the Sagarmatha National Park, which is where Mount Everest is located. During your trek, you will pass through many small villages and meet many local sherpas and their zopkios. Once you reach you Namche Bazaar, you’ll spend the rest of your day and day six acclimatizing to the elevation.

After a day of rest and relaxtion, day seven will get you back to trekking. You’ll spend six hours climbing from Namche Bazaar to Deboche, which is another 200m above sea level. Along the way, you will enjoy amazing views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and much more.

Day eight will bring you to a height of 4240m at Pheriche. This seven-hour trek will include crossing a river, walking along the tree line and exploring the Khumbu Valley. Day nine will be another acclimatization and free time day.

Continue on your journey on day ten. This day will include a seven-hour trek to Lobuche at 4910m. This trek features a much wider, cooler and more rugged terrain than the previous days. Along the way, you will visit the Khumbu Glacier and the Monuments of Sherpa Climbers. You’ll spend the eleventh day acclimatizing once again. This is due to the very high elevation and challenging days ahead!

Day twelve will be your final day of ascending the mountains. You’ll travel to Gorak Shep and then on to the Everest Base Camp, which sits at 5364m. This is the hardest day of the trip and includes over eight hours of trekking. During the trek, you can see the exposed glacier, many other trekking groups and of course the Everest Base Camp. You’ll head back down to Gorak Shep to spend the night.

Days thirteen to seventeen will simply be a trek down the mountain and back to Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, you will have the opportunity to shop and explore before heading home or to your next destination.
