Trip Info

The Everest Base (EBC) Trek is the best known and most beautiful trail in the Khumbu Region and is indeed the most famous Himalayan Trekking routes. EBC is famous for its spectacular mountain views and the friendliness of its inhabitants, the Sherpa people. Everest is also known as Sagarmatha, which in English literally means Mother Goddess of the World. EBC trekking offers a unique experience with Panoramic Views of the world’s highest and most beautiful mountain. It is one of the most inspiring places in the world and trekking is possible all year round but the best times to visit are March to mid-May and September to mid-December.

The trip begins with a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, from which point we start our trek. Along the way there are many tea houses in which we stay and eat local as well as Western food. EBC trail takes one through the green Dudhkosi Valley which is rich in Flora and Fauna, Sherpa Villages, and Buddhist Monasteries. It leads one up to the legendary Sherpa village of Namche Bazar where we spend two nights exploring and acclimating, an important factor in your safe enjoyment of the EBC trek. We follow the trail to the villages of Tengboche, Pangboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche where Yaks graze in high meadows. Finally we reach the last human settlement, the village of Gorakshep, which is just two hours from Everest Base Camp. From here we can see the Khumbu Ice Fall and interact with mountaineers about climbing Everest. From Gorakshep our trail takes us to Kalapathar from where we have the best possible view of the Himalayan Range. This is our turn around point and we descend following the same trail with still more splendid, fascinating and breath taking views that leave you with a lifetime of mountain memories.
