Walkers should be suitably attired, including footwear, to take into account the unpredictablity of Edinburgh weather. Food and refreshments for the guide is the guest's responsibility.

Since this is a private guided tour, we can go anywhere you’d like! The tours are¬†arranged to meet the particular interests and inclinations of my clients.¬†We can go anywhere in Scotland for a full day or more.

Here are some examples of places you may want to visit on your tour:

  • The Royal Mile including St Giles Cathedral (which we enter)
    and several of Edinburgh’s famous ‘closes’

The Usher Historic Walks are hosted by Stuart Usher who is a fully licensed tour guide. His family have been associated with Edinburgh for centuries. Foremost among its many gifts to Edinburgh and Scotland is the Usher Hall, outside which the Historic Walks commence.
