We fly from Kathmandu to Phaplu to begin the trek. Once we reach Dhud Kunda Lake, you will have spectacular mountain views of Mount Numbur and Mount Dhud Kunda. Along the way, we visit several Sherpa, Magar and Tamang farming villages such as Kerung, Takshindu, Ang Pang and Junbensi. Enjoy a visit to several famous monasteries like Chiwong, Thupten Choling and Takshindu.
Dudh Kunda Lake, also known as Milky Lake, is at the foot of Number Himal, meaning protector of Solu Region. This lake is widely believed to be a Holy lake. It is said by taking a dip in the water, your wishes will be granted. It also provides the best viewpoint of panoramic scenes of the Everest Himalayan Range and the rhododendron and pine forests. Wildlife we may encounter include Mountain Thars, bears, leopards, jackals and pheasants.
