Discover the Rich Gullah Heritage Tour will take you to the heart of the rich African American culture, and bring alive a part of ancestry you won’t forget. The Gullah People came from various areas of Africa, including; Senegambia, Windward Coast, Gold Coast, Angola, Mozambique, Madagascar, Congo, Sierra Leone, and other more. The Gullah people survived the Middle Passage to America as enslaved Africans who were captured from the rice-producing regions of West Africa. In the Sea Islands of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, they lived in isolation, and because of isolation, they were able to maintain the Gullah language. This heritage tour is educational and will take you on a journey you will not forget!
