Trip Info

Nothing quite conjures up images of the Mississippi like a river boat cruise, and nothing fits more in the vein of Mid-South sensibility than a traditional, family-owned business passed down from one generation to the next.  So it is with Memphis Riverboats.

Formerly known as the Memphis Queen Line, Memphis Riverboats was sculpted and grown, nurtured and directed, by one generation and the next, resting now in the hands of William Lozier, the third generation owner in his family.  Started by his grandfather in 1960, that strong sense of tradition and family is still apparent on one of their many river cruises.  Though their fleet may have been changed and updated over the years, their sense of fun and excitement has held true over the years.  Their Dinner and Music Cruise pulls on the traditions of the region for both its food and its musical accompaniment, while not shying away from contemporary flair.  So feast on pulled pork, marinated chicken breast, coleslaw, corn, baked beans, and try to save some room for dessert! All the while listen to the stylings of the house band, playing everything from Jazz to R&B to the regional Blues.  If there’s a better way to stay rooted to tradition while expanding into the future, we sure haven’t heard of it!
