Completed in 1993, its minaret is the world’s tallest, at 210 metres (689 ft), and can hold up to 105,000 worshippers, including 25,000 inside the mosque hall and another 80,000 on the mosque’s outside grounds. The tour also includes a pause at Mohammed V Square. The site is surrounded by several interesting art deco buildings, such as the post office and the courthouse. Next, we’ll take a stroll in the medina (old town) of Casalanca, for a taste for old Casablancan daily lifestyle.
