Trip Info

One of the best hikes available, at a location that never disappoints. At the high season, this hike is often crowded with people, but during the shoulder season, crowds will be minimal and the early season views will be spectacular.  We’ll travel around the famous Lake Louise, passing many tired and ambitious tourists, as well as climbers at the famous quartzite cliffs at the back of the lake.  We’ll continue on through alpine geography, past moraines, melting avalanche zones and retreating glaciers to arrive at the famous Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse for lunch. If time permits, we’ll continue up to the viewpoint where we can get a view of the famous Abbott Pass Hut and the ‘deathtrap’ on the Victoria glacier.

Difficulty: EASY       Elevation gain: 380 metres
