Guide

Trip Info

The name Dachau will forever be associated with the most infamous crimes of the Nazis.

This was the first concentration camp set up in Germany and served as a model for the others that followed. We’ll see all the remaining original areas in the memorial (gatehouse, bunker, administration HQ, crematorium, rail platform, etc.), have a look inside the extensive museum and have time to see the documentary film shown in English. You’ll see how the camp began and how it was liberated by U.S. troops.

You’ll also see how it is remembered and presented, and how Germany comes to terms with this past today.

I’ve given Dachau tours for several years now, for student groups, families, individuals, the military, private tour companies and for the memorial itself. I am officially certified by the memorial site to offer tours in English here. More people every year visit the memorial site here to contemplate, learn and to honor the victims.
