Sichuan, the home to pandas, best known outside of China for it’s fiery cuisine. It has wonderful diversity of nature and culture. From west of Sichuan, entering the mountains that eventually kiss the intensely blue sky at more than 6000m, where it is the second largest Tibetan area, and travel in the east, in the flat, densely populated Sichuan basin in and around the capital city of Chengdu, the weather is humid and foggy, the people, and life races toward future as it does in many other Asian urban centers.
Travel into Sichuan deeply, you will encounter the spicy Sichuan cuisine, visit China’s adorable “Black and White “Pandas, follow the pilgrimage trail to learn about the Buddhism culture and Daoism philosophy, and enjoy the incredible views in Jiuzhai and Yellow Dragon national parks. All these elements present the unique laid-back life style in Sichuan. And this is why people call Sichuan the Land of Milk and Honey since 2000 years ago.
Day by day itinerary:
Day 1 Home/Chengdu
Fly to Chengdu, your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to downtown Chengdu, check in the hotel
Day 2 Chengdu/ Yellow dragon/Jiuzhaigou National Park
Take the early flight to Yellow dragon airport, upon arrival be transferred to Yellow Dragon natural forest, spending whole morning there for the stunning views. Late afternoon we drive about 2 hours to Jiuzhaigou valley, overnight nearby.
Day 3 Jiuzhaigou National Park
Spend the day photographing the natural beauty of Jiuzhiagou National Park. Tibetan culture is dominant here, evidenced by the prayer wheels and chortens that dot the landscape.

Day 4 Jiuzhaigou National Park/Chengdu
In the morning we go into Jiuzhai Valley again to visit another valley, after that we take the bus to Huanglong and catch the afternoon flight back to Chengdu, enjoy the laid-back life again by walking around Kuanzhai Alleys.
Day 5 Chengdu Panda Base/Wuhou Temple & Jingli Walking Street
This morning we drive about one hour to the panda breeding center, for those wildlife lovers, this is a quite unique chance to observe those cute pandas.
After our tour in Panda breeding centre, we drive back to downtown area for our lunch, afternoon we walk around Wuhouci & Jingli Walking Street.
Day 6 Chengdu/Leshan Giant Buddha/ Mt. Emei
In the morning we drive about 1hour to Huanglongxi old town, which used to be busy pier for waterway transportation. After that we drive to visit the Great Buddha, which is the largest stone buddha in the world, we may walk up two hours to see the Buddha statue from the top or take a boat trip to closely see it on the river. Late afternoon we drive to Mt. Emei.
Day 7 Mt. Emei
In the morning we take the shuttle bus up to Wanniansi temple, after our short stop in the temple, we may have a 2-3 hours walking tour to Qingyingge monkey area, after that we continue to ascend to the summit by bus and cable car.
Day 8 Mt. Emei/Dujiangyan City
If weather permitted early this morning, we may see the “Buddha Lights” and clouds ocean luckily, after that we descend to the bottom of Mt. Emei, we take our bus to Dujiangyan city, walk around the old part of this city, overnight in Dujiangyan city.
Day9 Mt. Qingcheng/Sichuan Cuisine Museum/Chengdu
This morning we head for the holy Daoism mountain, have a 2-3hour circular hike on the back part of Mt. Qingcheng.
Afternoon, we go back to Chengdu, en route visiting Sichuan Cuisine Museum.
Transfer to the airport today for flight home.
