Guide

Trip Info

Explore the mountains of the Kogelberg Biosphere. It is one of the richest areas of fynbos in the Western Cape, home to one of the world’s six Floral Kingdoms.

On this hiking tour, we go to a series of five deep, natural rock pools. The pools are magnificent, perfect to cool down in on route with some very impressive jumps from the cliffs into some of the pools if you are brave. The Crystal Pools are found by following the Palmiet River from it’s mouth, up into the rocky Steenbras River Gorge and swimming in deep, cold, natural, amber colored rock pools fed by waterfalls. The origin of the river is in the Hottentots Holland Mountains.

This hike is an exciting, refreshing, nature-induced adventure with beautiful scenery, bird life and indigenous fynbos. Pack your camera and bathing suit and join us on an informative hike to Crystal Pools, led by a qualified, knowledgeable guide.
