Trip Info
For a scenic tour of one of the country’s popular destinations, this is a car tour not to be missed! You will be driven in comfort to several quaint picturesque villages outside of London to an area known as Cotswolds. This is a region of hill ranges between Stratford-upon-Avon and Bath.
The region dates back nearly 600 hundred years throughout its communities clustered among the prehistory footpaths and Iron Age forts. The rolling lush countryside surrounded the honey-colored limestone structures makes for distinctive spectacular views. Famous for thatched roof old cottages and the limestone constructed homes, many of the villages have antique shops and farmers’ markets. Café culture settings line many streets.
You will enjoy stepping back in time as you explore the ancient market towns in the northern region of the Cotswold. Beautiful cultivated gardens can be found in this area along with Sudeley Castle.
As you tour the central region, you will note the local history as told in the towns’ architecture such as in Cirencester and Malmesbury Abbey. The village of Bibury has been described as the most beautiful Cotswolds village. A lunch stop at a local pub will showcase the British traditions.
There are some portions of the southern Cotswold which are unspoiled and remain with an ancient atmosphere such as Castle Combe. Another southern gem is Bath, a world heritage city.
You will enjoy visiting the region that reached the number two spot on a list of the world’s top ten paradise places.
Your adventure awaits!
