Trip Info

Trek the Cordillera Huayhuash mountain range which hosts the second highest peak in the Peruvian Andes, Yerupaja peak at 21,709 ft/6617m. The hiking trails pass through incomparably beautiful, breath-taking mountain views and lakes of aqua blue water and tiny Quechua villages and farms whose simple thatched huts and historical customs have retained their ancient traditions. This “national geographic” setting offers a wonderful recompense for those willing to venture over these ancient trails.

Huayhuash Trek Circuit 9Day “Wonderful Trek, Wonderful People” We have trekked the Cordillera Huayhuash Trek with Inkaland Treks, as a private tour, at the end of June 2014. Edita was wonderful in making our experience unforgettable. From the hotel in Huaraz to the acclimatization day treks and the full trek everything was planned right and options were available if interested. The crew was excellent the guide very experienced and knowledgeable and the cooks amazing. I will definitely use them for future treks and recommend them warmly. Dan Perlstein, Toronto, Canada
