Trip Info

Join your Andes X-Plorer trekking guide for a day of trekking the Cordillera Blanca. Wake up at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, depart by private bus to the east side of the city of Huaraz to see one of the most beautiful lagoons in the Huascaran National Park, located in the Cordillera Blanca. Pass by the picturesque towns of Unchus, Llupa, and Pitec then reach the base (3850 m), where the bus will leave us to begin our trek of approximately 3 hours. We begin our trek through the gorge Churup, reaching the lagoon Churup, remaining there for an hour to appreciate the color variation of this gap according to the sunset. We also appreciate the southwest face of Nevado Churup, and the biodiversity of the area’s flora and fauna. From there we return to the city of Huaraz.
